bulletDVD Recorders; what you should know "BEFORE" you buy
If you happen to be shopping or thinking about making your own movies either from digital sources, ie: camcorder, or digital camera and wondering which player/recorder should you buy. You better know the differences first. There are more than one format, there is a long list of player/recorders and in addition, some use only this format of disc and writing while others use one of many other formats while some can recognize more than one of the many formats.
And to further difficulties, after purchasing and filming and burning, then you find out your home DVD player does not recognize the disk that your computer DVD recorder burns.
Confused yet? Well to know the different formats click the link http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvd.htm and to know if your player is compatible click here http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers . When this page loads, you will see the little search window, here is where you will put in the model number of your home DVD player to see what formats it will recognize.
Useful? maybe, but I've been told that the DVD-R and DVD-/RW are on their way out and the DVD+R and DVD+/RW are on their way in.
